On April 23rd, 2015, Tim launched this Earth Day Flight from the Trilogy School in North Raleigh. Because of high projected jet stream winds, a smaller 300g balloon was chosen. The flight made it to 73,515 ft.
Sadly, the winds still took it extremely downrange and it ended up landing in the Pungo River near Belhaven,NC. The payload stayed afloat, but it still wasn't located after hours of searching by boat. The Spot Tracker, which didn't report during flight, woke up at splash-down and continued to beacon until the early hours of the next morning.
